Lip Bar has a new home!

February 19, 2019

Melissa Butler, founder of Detroit based beauty brand, The Lip Bar, is making moves. The brand, now worth a reported $7M, has officially become a resident of Downtown Detroit with the opening of its new brick & mortar location. The store, located in the Shinola Hotel corridor, is the brand's first permanent location. The Lip Bar is one of many black owned startups rising out of the broken narrative surrounding Motown. The brand's popularity has skyrocketed in the last 24 months, with distribution reaching Target stores across the country.

Congratulations to Melissa and the entire Lip Bar team. For more information regarding The Lip Bar, check out this story by Crain's Detroit Business.
